Q: HOW DO I GET STARTED?

A: It all starts with you coming into the box for a class.  You are invited to attend any class on any day.  We will scale and modify the workout as necessary.  If you have the will, we have the way! Visit us today.

 

Q: MY GLOBO GYM OFFERS CROSSFIT, SAME THING RIGHT?

A: WRONG. If your gym is affiliated with Crossfit it will be listed on www.CrossFit.com.  Lots of people do “imitation” classes that pretend to be Crossfit but in truth aren’t Affiliated with CrossFit at all.  The instructor may have training from CrossFit HQ but they do not have backing, insurance, or operational guidelines established by CrossFit, Inc.  Bottom line: If they are not listed with CrossFit, they ARE NOT AFFILIATED. Q: IS CROSSFIT RIGHT FOR ME?

A: If you have the desire to be in excellent shape and excel in life then yes CrossFit is right for you! Is your goal is to lose 10,20,30 lbs but you dont know where to start? Do you feel like you are not fit enough to start CrossFit? Do you need someone to instruct you on what to do? You are in luck because we have excellent coaches with the purpose of helping you achieve these goals. All of our members began CrossFit at different fitness levels but all had the same goal, be better. How does exercise make me excel in life? When you exercise and feel better about yourself it helps in all aspects of life. Play with your kids longer, have more energy, sleep better, look and feel better, and know you are taking great care of yourself. CrossFit is right for everyone with a goal of being fit.

 

Q. HOW OFTEN SHOULD I DO CROSSFIT WORKOUTS?

A. The formula for the most success is 3 days on and 1 day rest OR 5 days on and 2 days rest. More or less days of exercise is dependent upon the person and how they respond to the workouts. Normally you will be less sore after 6-10 weeks of following the before mentioned formula. A General rule is you dont want to attend consecutive days if you are too sore to perform the movements of the WOD. Rest and let your body recover.

 

Q: WHAT DOES “KID FREE BOX” MEAN?

A: Space limitations have made it unsafe for visitors and children to be present in the box unless they are performing the WOD. At CFV we have no seating or designated area for kids or adults to “watch” the workouts. Our future plans are to have a facility with a kids room/area and offer CrossFit Kids courses.

 

Q: CAN CROSSFIT MAKE ME BETTER AT MY SPORT?

A. YES without a doubt. Our goal is to make you faster, stronger, and better conditioned to tackle almost any sport with confidence and perform well. While we dont offer sport specific training but are confident following our program will excel your performance in any sport. We have helped golfers, cyclist, tennis players, runners, triathletes, and moms perform better at their sport.

 

Q: WILL CF MAKE ME BULKY?

A: ABSOLUTELY NOT. None of our members suffer from being BULKY. Our goal is to make you stronger using strength training not bodybuilding movements. The difference in a body builder is volume and frequency of lifting. At CFV we are lifting for limited reps at heavy weights. Gym rats lift moderate weights at high reps and for longer duration with the purpose of fatigue the muscle to the max. The difference is we lift the weight 1,2 or 3 times in 3-5 rep sets. We have a firm belief through empirical data that being stronger equates to performance in our sport; CrossFit. You will add muscle but you will never look like a bodybuilder who has spent years in the gym trying to get bigger but lacking the ability to perform. What we do see is lean bodies which accentuate the physique.

 

Q: WHY DOES CrossFit COST SO MUCH?

A: The short answer is because it works! The long answer is because we offer so much through one facility. We train you in Olympic weightlifting, gymnastics, conditioning, skills, functional movements, and diet/lifestyle advise. We provide the equipment and a facility you would never find anywhere else but CrossFit. No gym, gymnastic facility, or boot-camp can offer the same level of instruction with the multitude of movements and skills we teach. Each of the before mentioned, is geared toward teaching or providing a specific service or facility. At Crossfit Vengeance we offer instruction at every class with the goal of making you better at over 60 lifts,movements, and skills used in CrossFit. So why the cost? Our program cost less than $5 a day for an unlimited membership. Yoga, gymnastics, karate, spin, and personal training are considerably more expensive if utilized on even a bi-weekly bases. Gyms offer no service only a facility and if you want help with instruction you must hire a trainer at $30 hour or more. Bottom line is our program works, if your not satisfied you can end your membership at anytime.

BOX: A CrossFit Facility

GLOBO GYM: Chrome, Mirrors, Juice Bar, Treadmills…… Basically the opposite of a CF BOX.
